yipppeeeeeeeeee day

It's back to school for Tyria today and she's just left, woohoo. That means less tidying to do and more time for playing.
On monday I popped over to my local craft shop and found a new stencil from Joy Crafts.
Couldnt resist playing so out came the wizard to do the embossing ;o)
The first one I just whacked an offcut of some burgundy through, cut the 3 sections & spent yonks doing the embroidery. Trouble was it's such a purpley burgundy I didnt have single paper that worked with it. In the end I went through my drawer of magazine freebies that one day I'll use and found a green rich enough. The smallest of the wizard snowflake die, gold ribbon & some of my favourite 2mm gems finished it off.
For this one all I used was a white pearlescent card with snowflake & swiss dot cuttlebug folders, white ribbon, silver thread and my trusty gems.

This is another Joy Craft stencil but one I bought last year. All I've used is cream linen and pearlescent gold card. 2 of the corners have been embossed using the pattern from the bottom of the bauble. Thread used was a gutterman variagated gold, red & green.

You're an inspiration. I'm spending so much time looking that by the time I come to make something I'll be stuck for what idea to use LOL :-)
